IVETA (International Vocational Education and Training Association) is a network including vocational skills training organizations, business and industrial firms, practitioners, researchers, and students in the field of vocational education and training as well as institutions, organizations, and companies actively engaged in human resource development and other individuals and groups interested or involved in vocational education and training worldwide. IVETA is dedicated to the advancement and improvement of high-quality vocational education and training throughout the world. IVETA is working to create a new era in communication among different parties in VET.
To further enhance international networking and IVETA’s overall impact, a Cooperation Memorandum with the European Training Foundation (Turin, Italy) was signed in 2013, and two new branch offices were opened, namely in Trinidad and Tobago and in Uganda.
The Finnish Association for the Development of Vocational Education and Training AMKE is an esteemed partner and pioneer in developing and renewing vocational education and training in Finland. At the same time AMKE is also a
dynamic co-operation and networking partner for the national and international VET providers and stakeholders. Focus is set on the enhancement of professional competence both on individual and organizational level.
AMKE’s member organisations provide vocational education and training around Finland. Vocational training for both youth and adults is united under the auspices of AMKE. AMKE gathers and thereby enhances the competence
and knowledge of VET providers.
AMKE’s service concept includes two associated companies in addition to the association. A common goal directs the activity of the association and companies. Thereby AMKE:
- contributes to the development of VET and lifelong learning possibilities
- promotes employment, entrepreneurship and new innovations
- disseminates and promotes best practices in VET
